Expect fun, friends and more than a little mayhem at the annual RAS picnic on 21 July 2019

Summer sundays are tranditionally the time for a picnic – and RAS Fellows make no exception. Sunday 21 July 2019 at 12.30 marks the time for the annual RAS picnic in the grounds of the Royal Observatory Greenwich. Look out for the group meeting close to the Wolfe statue, and join them as they head to a nearby picnic spot. It's a good idea to bring something to sit on, as the ground cannot be guaranteed dry in any English summer. There is usually entertainment in the form of water rockets or other launches – and as this is the 30th picnic, you might expect something a bit special.

For further details, please contact the organizers – Dr Q Stanley (q@hpsresearch.com) and David Lally (davelally@outlook.com) – who can supply additional travel information.
