In 2023 the RAS commissioned a major survey of the Demographics and Research Interests of the UK Astronomy and Geophysics communities. With 956 individual responses, and data from departments across the nations of the UK, this is the largest survey of its kind, and provides a benchmark for the work of the Society, as well as tracking changes since the previous survey in 2016.
