Today, Tuesday 8 March, marks International Women's Day 2022. International Women's Day is a day celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements and contributions of women all around the world.

The Royal Astronomical Society is proud to be connected to so many extraordinary women - from staff and Fellows to our followers and Friends, we thank you for making the RAS the best we can be. Learn more about some of the amazing women that make up the RAS staff here.

We encourage you to take a look at our YouTube channel, where you can find a variety of enthralling public lectures delivered by women astronomers and geophysicists. On our channel you can also find our recent lunchtime career talk series, featuring some of our women Fellows talking about their career paths in astronomy and geophysics, what inspired them to pursue their careers, the challenges they faced on the way, and how they overcame them.

The Supermassive Podcast, co-hosted by astrophysicist Dr Becky Smethurst and science journalist Izzie Clarke, is a great way to immerse yourself in the world of astronomy and learn more about our Universe.
