Deadline for RAS Fellowships approaching

Are you an early career researcher looking to pursue a career in research?

We're currently accepting applications for a Royal Astronomical Society (RAS) Research Fellowship.

They are offered to outstanding candidates to enable them to pursue research in the UK in the disciplines advanced by the RAS i.e. astronomy, solar system science, geophysics and closely-related branches of these sciences.

To find out more, watch the video above or visit: https://ras.ac.uk/awards-and-grants/fellowships/2330-fellowship-call. This has further details, terms & conditions and information on how to apply online.

The Fellowships, which provide post-doctoral funding for up to three years, are to begin on 1 October 2025 or within 6 months thereafter.

Applicants must hold a recognised PhD degree or equivalent obtained after 1 October three years before the start of the Fellowship (e.g. 1 October 2022 if applying in 2024 for a Fellowship beginning in 2025). Only one RAS Research Fellowship may be held in the same university at any one time.

The deadline for applications is Friday, 15 November 2024 (23:59 GMT). The RAS expects to make offers by the end of March.
