Inspiration:

"I look after the RAS journals and as journal publishing is such an important part of what the RAS does I thought that it would be nice if the journals could be represented on the quilt. As part of our bicentenary the journal covers received a make-over so the square highlights the new covers, which I printed in a larger size, using fabric sheets designed for ink jet printers, and the old covers are smaller as they fade away into history.

I have joined a couple of the online sessions and have been inspired by the variety of creative ideas there. I am grateful to Helen Kent from British Patchwork and Quilting Magazine who sent me the Colourfast Fabric Sheets to use (in exchange for a review) when she heard what I wanted to do. They are very easy to use. I then enjoyed doodling (embroidered) stars around the images."
