Title: Halley's Comet

Maker: Dee Hurley, Textile Art student

Techniques used: Silk paper making and stitching

Inspiration: "I like the drama and energy encapsulated in the image of a comet. They can consist of such insignificant materials yet survive so long and look like crazy fireballs!! As a child the coming of Halley's into our skies was one of the first celestial events I remember people taking about. I don't remember seeing it though-It was probably cloudy!"
