Inspiration: "I grew up in Cheshire, not far from Jodrell Bank, and the telescope was always something of an inspiration to me when I was young. I was lucky enough to study there for my PhD and have since used the telescope countless times in my research on nearby galaxies over the years. The telescope seems like a familiar old friend, so it seemed the obvious thing to put on my square. I've had a request to make another one for a cushion!"
