Prof. Jianwei Ma

Jianwei Ma is a Professor at School of Earth and Space Sciences, Director of Center for Artificial Intelligence Geoscience, Peking University, and also the Dean for School of Mathematics, Harbin Institute of Technology, China. He received the Ph.D. degree in 2002 from Tsinghua University, Beijing. From 2006 to 2010, he was an Assistant Professor and an Associate Professor with the School of Aerospace, Tsinghua University. He served as a Postdoctoral Researcher and had visiting experiences with the University of Cambridge, University of Grenoble, Ecole des Mines de Paris, Florida State University, University of Texas at Austin, University of California at Los Angeles, etc. His main research interests include artificial intelligence, geophysical data processing, inverse problems, compressed sensing, and sparse transform.
