Biography
Shiqing Xu is an assistant professor at Southern University of Science and Technology, China. His research interests mainly focus on faults and earthquakes, including earthquake nucleation, propagation and arrest, fault zone structure and evolution, continuum damage mechanics, and rock friction experiments. He aims at using multidisciplinary approaches to understand earthquake physics, and is particularly interested in bridging the gap between laboratory and natural scales.
