Miquel Nofrarias is a research faculty at the Institute of Space Sciences (ICE) from the Spanish Research Council (CSIC). His research interests focus in the area of gravitational wave astronomy, in particular in the development of new sensing techniques and characterisation methods for space-borne gravitational observatories. He is the co-PI of the Spanish contribution to the future space-borne gravitational wave observatory, LISA. He is the lead of the Science Diagnostics Subsystem of the mission, consisting of a set of high precision sensors aiming at monitoring and characterising the performance of the three spacecraft that will form the observatory once in operation. In the past, he was member of the LISA Pathfinder mission, a precursor mission that successfully tested the key technologies enabling gravitational waves detection from space. The research activity in his group focuses on the development of high precision sensing techniques and data analysis methods for its application in the framework of future gravitational wave observatories and space missions.
