Biography
Hongming Tang is an assistant professor at Xi'an Jiaotong-Liverpool University. Currently he serves as co-PI of the citizen science project Radio Galaxy Zoo: EMU. His research focus on applying machine learning to data intensive radio astrophysics. He is particularly interested in the integration of citizen science with machine learning, as well as the development of interpretable and explainable AI methods for scientific discovery. His work explores how these approaches can be used to identify, understand and interpret AI-driven discoveries in astrophysics.
