Ebru Bozdag is a seismologist at the Department of Geophysics, Colorado School of Mines. Her research centres around computational, global, and observational seismology. She uses 3D numerical seismic wave simulations to improve our understanding of the interiors of Earth and other planets by linking observed data to advances in theory and numerical methods in wave propagation and optimisation techniques. She is interested in seismic wave propagation and tomography at all scales with emphasis on, but not limited to, full-waveform inversion in passive-source seismology, new data measurement techniques, modelling and using heterogeneous datasets for seismic imaging, investigating and modelling the deep interiors of Earth and other planets (mantle and core) with 3D wave simulations.
