You are warmly invited to visit the Royal Astronomical Society for an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour with our archivist Kate Bond. Learn the inside story of our move from Somerset House to Burlington House in 1874, and take a closer look at original documents and photographs relating to the main celestial event of that year - the Transit of Venus.

What is the format of the tour?

This behind-the-scenes tour will lead the group across all floors of the Royal Astronomical Society, ending with a display of historical documents and photograph albums in the library. A lift is available and there is limited seating in the library. You will be able to share any access requirements when registering for the tour.
