The Astronomical Society of London, now known as the Royal Astronomical Society, was founded in 1820 by astronomers including Charles Babbage. Visit us in Burlington House on the afternoon of 31st May to learn more about our history and our members through drama and interactive demonstrations.

Sign up for a free ticket for an hour-long visit which will include:

- A look at astronomical treasures on display in the library.

- A short, interactive introduction to algorithms with Charles Babbage 

- An audience with astronomer Caroline Herschel.
