2020 marks the Royal Astronomical Society's 200th anniversary. Back in October 2019 we, along with whole host of talented stitchers, started making a commemorative quilt to celebrate this milestone. There's more information about the project in this article: https://ras.ac.uk/news-and-press/news/ras-bicentennial-quilt

Although we can't embroider the solar system side of the quilt together, we can create squares for the patchwork side of the quilt. We'll be on hand to answer any questions you may have about the project but please note, this is not a teaching/tutorial session. We're hoping this online meet up will be an opportunity to connect with fellow stitchers and makers, to show us how your getting on with your squares, and possibly to inspire any newcomers to start making their own!
