Dynamics and composition of (exo)planet atmospheres (Day 1 of 2)

Start Date
End Date

A specialist discussion meeting organised by:

James Cho (QMUL), Giovanna Tinetti (UCL) and Patrick Irwin (Oxford)

Characterisable extrasolar planets are being discovered at an ever-increasing pace.  As a result, Earth and planetary scientists and astronomers are increasingly called upon to help make the transition from discovery to characterization, paving the way towards understanding these planets in the way that we understand those in our own Solar System.  This RAS discussion meeting is specifically aimed at bringing together specialists from the Solar System and extrasolar system research areas -- focusing on exchanging problems/solutions, ideas and techniques in atmospheric dynamics, radiative transfer and photochemical modelling of planets.
