Join us for a free courtyard late on Friday, 27 July!

We will be open to the public from 6 – 9 pm

"Space rocks - a link between us and the stars“

Dr Matthew Genge, a planetary scientist from Imperial College London, will give short talks  explaining how rocks, big and small, fill up the apparently empty void of outer space and how we couldn't exist without them.  He will also have a few meteorites and minerals on display.

The 15 minute talks will be held at: 18:15 – 18:30; 18:45 – 19:00; 19:15 – 19:30; 19:45 – 20:00; 20:15 – 20:30; 20:45 – 21:00, and places will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Drop in to the RAS Library and Archives to see observations by some of the first astronomers to discover asteroids and minor planets.

The other Societies around the courtyard will also be open, please see the Burlington House website for details of their events  http://burlingtonhouse.org/about-us/
